Volunteers Help Beautify Lexington’s Martin Luther King Park

Lexington is always looking for ways to make sure neighborhood parks stay clean and safe.

And a special project is working towards those goals in a growing area.

There was a big clean up Saturday at Martin Luther King Park.

Members of the Center Point Church, Lexington Police and Parks and Recreation employees were all on board.

The park is right next to the Brookfield Chase area, where Habitat for Humanity is building 30 homes over the next two years.

Organizers said the clean-up will help provide a beautiful backdrop for the neighborhood expansion.
