Fire Destroys Vacant Trailer In Lexington

Wind caused big concerns for firefighters who responded to a trailer fire Monday in Lexington.
The fire started in an abandoned trailer on Whitmer Way at around 10:30 p.m.
Firefighters said there was nothing they could do to save the trailer and went into defense mode.
They said the high winds increased the risk the fire could spread to nearby trailers so they kept a close eye on it after knocking the fire down.
The trailer was boarded up and no one was living there, according to crews on the scene.
There is no word on a cause but a fire investigator was called to the scene.
