It aimed to encourage Solid Blue fans to have fun celebrating, but leave the furniture alone.
The sign read, "Don’t burn couches. We need them. Go Cats."
Organizers at the Inn said the post-game staple of revelry did not outweigh the needs of people trying to get by without a home.
Ginny Ramsey, the Co-Director of the Catholic Action Council and the Community Inn said, "Think about it. When you’re burning a couch, you’re burning an asset that could be used by a homeless person as a place to sleep."
