The firefighters from Station 14 arrived to help a woman after they said she delivered her baby in her bathroom.

The new mother wasn’t able to get to a hospital after she went into labor and had no other choice, according to officials.

Fire crews said they cut the umbilical cord and rushed the woman and her newborn to the hospital.

Both the mother and her infant are in good condition.

Firefighter Bob Hendricks explained that babies being delivered outside of a hospital aren’t rare, and that this was his 17th call to help with a delivery.
