Fayette County Education Action Team member Liza Holland said, "There are classes that are too big…The professional development budget for teachers has been slashed to almost nothing right at a time when they need to be learning the most cutting-edge technology and what-not. After-school support has been cut. It’s hurting students and we need to step up and make sure to prioritize our tax dollars in the best investment that we have- education.
The team and its supporters are asking the community to reach out to state lawmakers to support Governor Beshear’s proposed budget.
It increases spending for education in several areas.
