The victims of the robbery told deputies three men forced their way into the home armed with a knife and a baseball bat.
They said once the men got inside, a fight took place over a gun, causing it to fire into a wall. No one was hurt.
The victims said they recognized one of the men: 36-year-old Gregory Scott of Crab Orchard.
An investigation after Scott’s arrest led to the identities of two other men: 29-year-old Aaron Tungate of Somerset and Victor Frantz, 27, of Ferguson.
The same investigation also turned up information that allowed Scott to be cleared of the robbery. According to the Pulaski County Sheriff, Scott was mistakenly identified by the victims.
On Tuesday night, detectives reported that Tungate and Frantz had been caught.
40-year-old Richard Patrick, of Somerset, was arrested late Wednesday afternoon in connection with the robbery.
All three men were charged with burglary, robbery and theft of a firearm.
They are now lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
Scott was released Wednesday morning and all of his charges were dropped.
