The "15 to Finish" program launched on Wednesday with a mission to inform students on how they can save time and money and get into the workforce sooner by completing their coursework on schedule.
“Time is money when it comes to on-time graduation,” Council on Postsecondary Education President Bob King explained. “The longer students let college drag on, the less likely they are to graduate because life circumstances, even positive ones, get in the way of degree completion.”
Research shows the majority of full-time college students need just one extra class to stay on track to graduate on-time. According to CPE data, 75 percent of first-time, full-time students attending public colleges are off track by their sophomore year.
To coincide with spring registration, public service radio and TV ads will air throughout the state. College campuses will also begin their own brand of marketing, which may include Web campaigns, social media, posters, and direct messaging to students and staff.
