United Way of the Bluegrass moved to a leased space in the building that also houses the Lexington Herald-Leader newspaper.
According to Dr. Augusta, Chair of United Way’s Board of Director’s, it’s a move not just to increase efficiency and lower operating costs, but it puts the group in a more central location. "[It’s] an opportunity to increase visibility, build community partnerships and promote the work [we] and [our] partnering agencies are doing to help improve central Kentucky."
Rufus Friday, president and publisher of the Lexington Herald-Leader, is glad to have the new tenants sharing their building. "We see this as a win-win for all and are delighted that United Way of the Bluegrass is joining us here in downtown Lexington."
The new address for United Way of the Bluegrass is 100 Midland Avenue, Suite 300, Lexington, Kentucky 40508.
