Fayette County School Superintendent Tom Shelton told ABC 36 that some students claimed one boy said there would be a shooting at the school on Monday.
But school officials couldn’t find any evident anyone had said anything like that.
A spokesperson for the school says there not sure who started the original rumor, so they can discipline anyone.
Shelton says there’s no reason to believe there was ever any threat and that it’s just a case of rumor that was spread before anyone could find out if it was true.
The Tates Creek campus does have more police officers than usual Monday but Shelton says its just to put parents and students at ease.
