Bobby Smith who lives near Elkhorn Creek in Franklin County, has spent his weekend fishing along the overflowed banks of the creek.
He says he’s been catching a lot of good sized catfish and even some bass.
Others like Tim Roberts spent his Saturday afternoon fishing out logs that were washing up in his yard.
Roberts says this year’s flooding is some of the highest he’s seen in recent years.
Many who didn’t have to worry about flooding on their properties were seen driving all over flooded areas, stopping and taking pictures of the high waters.
Residents with flooded yards say they were already seeing the water levels go down a few feet by Saturday evening.
They say they’re still concerned the water may rise again with more rain expected in the coming days.
