The Franklin County Coroner has released the name of a 2-year-old boy killed in a car crash Tuesday night.

Police said the toddler, Jair Gutierrez, was not wearing his seatbelt when he was thrown from the back seat of a Ford Explorer. Police said the SUV was on I-64 in Franklin County just before 9 p.m. when a tire blew out, and the SUV hit a rock wall.

Investigators said the boy’s father was behind the wheel, and his mother was in the passenger’s seat. Police said the parents are at UK hospital in fair condition.
