According to an LAL news release, the program was modeled after one developed first in Minnesota, which itself was modeled after crop-sharing programs, often called CSA’s – community supported agriculture.
To participate, members of the public are invited for buy one of 50 shares that will be first offered for Summer 2013. Each share costs $400 and guarantees the shareholder at least one piece from each participating artist.
The first "harvest", of sorts, will be July 26th from 6-9 pm at the Loudoun House.
