The gates opened up at 11 AM, and people came dressed in their best. Some new,
"This is my first time at Keeneland," said Danielle Chesney, a UK Sophomore.
"I have no clue what to expect. I’m actually really excited," said Danielle Morrison from Los Angeles, CA.
Others are a bit more experienced.
"Well let’s see, I’m about 80. I’ve been coming out about 30 years anyway. I’m gonna be out here 3, or 4 days a week probably," said Stanley Stinnett, from Nicholasville.
One of the biggest races of the meet is Saturday, the Grade-1 $750,000 Shadwell Turf Mile.
For the Fall Meet, more than $4-Million will be given to race winners. If you haven’t had a chance to make it out yet, you’ve got until October 27th to get to the track. Races take place Wednesday-Sunday.
