One year ago Monday, Brittany was rushed to the hospital after her car accident.
She suffered from a broken femur and a broken neck is 5 places.
Doctors told Brittany would be paralyzed or not make it.
But she defied the odds and says she is a walking miracle.
Now she is using her experience to help save lives….And she’s targeting her classmates.
Brittany says, "I was always in a hurry, never taking my time. That’s how us teens are, taking life for granted. So I think the best people to target is teens my age."
After school Monday, Brittany and her friends stopped every car leaving Madison Central and checked if they were wearing their seat belts.
The campaign started when she was in the hospital and her friends would say, "Click It for Britt."
Although she is not able to do her favorite activities anymore, like cheerleading, and horse back riding, she says she would do it all over again just so she could spread her message.
"This is my time to give back to others. And I’m so thankful. There’s no time to be negative. Being positive is what keeps me going."
