KY Tax Revenues For Fiscal Year Bigger Than Expected

Tax revenues in Kentucky were bigger than expected in the fiscal year that just ended.

Budget Director Mary Lassiter says revenue was $83 million more than predicted for the fiscal year that ended June 30th.

But she says it doesn’t change the fact that Kentucky still faces budget cuts in the coming year.

And Lassiter says it’s not clear if the state had a budget surplus last year because there are some expenses that haven’t been accounted for.
