Discussion:Thur : PM2.5 readings are good behind the cold front currently passing west to east through the forecast region. Temperatures will drop sharply from near 60 to about freezing by this evening. In the next 24 hours a couple of waves will pass the Ohio Valley. Rain changing to sleet, snow, and especially freezing rain during the day Friday for southern Indiana and Kentucky has prompted winter storm watches. Heaviest snowfall may be along a line from Vincennes to Bloomington to Dayton OH. Sunday an inverted trough will form and rapidly move northeast through the Tennessee Valley bringing some more variety of frozen precipitation. Next week will bring the coldest weather of the year so far.
