U.S. stocks are closing out another strong quarter, giving the Standard & Poor's 500 index its sixth straight quarterly gain. Although, the S&P 500 edged down less than a point, and the Dow lost 25 points by the end of trading Monday.

U.S. stocks are closing with tiny gains after a late-afternoon turn higher, but still ended the week with a loss. The Dow ended up five points, the S&P was up three, and the Nasdaq gained nearly 20.
