Georgetown firefighters say a barn was destroyed Wednesday afternoon in a fire.

This Friday, March 1st, ABC 36 along with the Georgetown Fire Department will be giving away smoke detectors to Scott County residents. The event is from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at Fire Station # 1 on South Broadway in Georgetown.

ABC 36 has teamed up with the Georgetown Fire Department to give away smoke detectors for free on Friday, December 14th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at FIre Station #3 at 101 Airport Road. The giveaway is open only to Scott County residents.
