Cassel benched, Quinn in for Chiefs

Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel was benched to start the second half of Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Cassel completed 8-of-16 passes for 93 yards in the first half before being removed in favor of Brady Quinn.

Cassel had started the last three games under center while Quinn recovered from a concussion he sustained in a Week 8 loss to the Oakland Raiders.

Coming into Sunday's contest, Cassel had thrown for 1,703 yards, six touchdowns and 12 interceptions over seven starts.
