New York, NY (Sports Network) - San Jose Earthquakes forward Steven Lenhart was named Major League Soccer's Player of the Week on Monday for Week 30 of the 2013 season.

Lenhart delivered a brace on Saturday as the Earthquakes claimed a critical three points with a 2-1 victory over Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Lenhart opened the scoring for the Quakes in the 18th minute on a header, but RSL's Javier Morales equalized just a minute later. Lenhart then netted the eventual winner for his side in the 21st minute. He joins teammate Alan Gordon, who claimed the award in Week 18, on the Players of the Week winners list.

The MLS Player of the Week award is selected each week by the North American Soccer Reporters. The group consists of members of online, print, television, and radio media.
