Leroux scores four as U.S. hammers Mexico

Washington, D.C. (Sports Network) - Sydney Leroux tallied four goals to lead the United States women's national team to a comfortable 7-0 win over Mexico in a friendly at RFK Stadium.

Abby Wambach opened the scoring with her 161st international goal after 11 minutes, and Leroux took over from there, scoring four times in the span of 20 minutes.

Wambach was the provider on two of Leroux's four goals, while Lauren Holiday set up the other two to put the Americans up 5-0 at halftime.

Rachel Buehler made it 6-0 in the 55th minute as she scored following a corner kick, while Morgan Brian capped the scoring with her first goal for the senior national team in just her second appearance 18 minutes from time.
