Carson, CA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Galaxy have signed midfielder Laurent Courtois, the club announced on Friday.

Courtois, a native of Lyon, France, began training with the Galaxy last week and played 45 minutes in a reserve league match after being released by Chivas USA on June 30.

Per club and league policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In addition to his time with Chivas USA, Courtois has spent time in France with Ajaccio, Toulouse, Istres and Grenoble after beginning his career with Lyon. The 34-year-old has also played for Premier League side West Ham United and La Liga outfit Levante.
