Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Henrik Stenson became the first European to win The Tour Championship and that helped him rise to No. 4 in this week's world golf rankings.

Stenson, who was also the first European to win the FedExCup, moved up two places thanks to his win at East Lake.

The top three were unchanged with Tiger Woods followed by Adam Scott and Phil Mickelson. Stenson moved into fourth and was trailed by Justin Rose, who remained No. 5, and Rory McIlroy, who fell two to sixth.

Steve Stricker shared second behind Stenson and improved a pair to seventh, which bumped Matt Kuchar and Brandt Snedeker down one spot apiece to eighth and ninth.

Jason Dufner stayed put in 10th and was followed again by Graeme McDowell, Zach Johnson and Jim Furyk. Keegan Bradley inched up one to 14 and that pushed Luke Donald down a spot to 15th.

Jason Day held steady in 16th, while Sergio Garcia and Lee Westwood exchanged places with the Spaniard up to 17th. Charl Schwartzel and Ian Poulter closed out the top 20 again this week.

Jordan Spieth, who shared second at East Lake with Stricker, jumped nine to No. 21 this week.

Julien Quesne won the Italian Open on Sunday and that helped him soar 94 places No. 135 in the latest rankings.
