Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Kimmo Timonen will miss the final three games of the season with a compression fracture in his right foot.

Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren made the announcement Tuesday, adding the veteran Finn will be fully recovered in 4-5 weeks.

The 38-year-old Timonen registered five goals and 24 assists in 45 games this season.

Timonen signed a one-year contract extension with the Flyers on Feb. 7.
