Buffalo, NY (Sports Network) - The Buffalo Sabres have signed forward John Scott to a one-year contract extension.

Scott joined the Sabres as a free agent last July and did not register a point in 34 games while accumulating 69 penalty minutes.

The 30-year-old Edmonton native has 305 minutes in penalties to go along with a goal and four assists in 180 NHL games over five seasons with the Sabres, Rangers, Blackhawks and Wild.
