Detroit, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Detroit Red Wings forward Darren Helm will miss his club's upcoming weekend slate due to a shoulder issue.

The Free Press reported Thursday that Wings GM Ken Holland said Helm underwent an MRI which showed fluid was present. He will be re-evaluated on Monday.

Detroit dropped a 6-3 decision to the Flyers on Wednesday at Joe Louis Arena, and face New Jersey on the road Friday and Florida at home on Saturday.

Helm, 26 and in his seventh pro season, has totaled seven goals and 10 points in 15 games this season.
