Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - The Toronto Maple Leafs inked restricted free- agent forward Nazem Kadri to a two-year contract on Tuesday.

No financial terms were disclosed by the club, but multiple reports state the average annual value of the contract is $2.9 million per season.

The 22-year-old posted career highs of 18 goals and 26 assists over 48 regular-season games, then added one goal and three assists in a seven-game first-round loss to Boston.

A former seventh-overall pick in the 2009 draft by Toronto, Kadri has collected 26 goals and 63 points over 99 NHL appearances over parts of the last four seasons.
