Hurricanes agree to terms with Gerbe

Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Carolina Hurricanes have signed forward Nathan Gerbe to a two-year contract that will pay him $1.5 million in 2014-15, and $2 million in 2015-16.

Gerbe had 16 goals and 15 assists in 81 games last season, his first with the Hurricanes.

Originally selected by the Sabres in the fifth round of the 2005 NHL Draft, Gerbe has scored 45 goals and earned 58 assists in 269 career games with Buffalo and Carolina. In nine playoff games, Gerbe has three goals and one assist.
