Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Carolina Hurricanes added veteran depth to their offense on Wednesday, signing Radek Dvorak to a one-year contract.

The deal is a two-way pact, earning Dvorak $600,000 in the NHL and $125,000 in the AHL for the upcoming season.

"Radek is an veteran player, and he has shown us throughout training camp that he can contribute to the Hurricanes,"said Carolina GM Jim Rutherford. "His versatility and experience give our coaching staff a number of options with our lineup."

The 36-year-old native of the Czech Republic totaled four goals in nine games with Anaheim in a brief North American stint last season, following a seven- point effort in seven games for Davos in Switzerland.

He totaled 21 points (4G, 17A) in 73 games two years ago with Dallas.

Over 1,200 NHL contests for seven clubs since 1995, Dvorak has racked up 223 goals and 581 points.
