St. Paul, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Wild activated Cal Clutterbuck from injured reserve Friday.

The right wing missed six games with a thigh contusion, an injury he sustained on a hit that earned Edmonton's Taylor Hall a two-game suspension.

Clutterbuck has two goals and two assists in 16 games this season.

The Wild also placed goaltender Darcy Kuemper (groin) on injured reserve and recalled Matt Hackett from AHL Houston to serve as Niklas Backstrom's backup.

Kuemper, a 22-year-old rookie, has a 1-2-0 record with a 2.22 goals-against average in four games with the Wild.
