Arlington, VA (Sports Network) - The Washington Capitals re-signed forwards Eric Fehr and Aaron Volpatti to two-year contracts on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old Fehr has posted eight goals and eight assists through 39 games this season.

A first-round pick of Washington in 2003, Fehr has played all but 35 of his 304 NHL games with the Capitals. He spent the 2011-12 campaign with the Winnipeg Jets.

For his career, the Manitoba native has totaled 56 goals and 112 points.

Fehr will earn $1.4 million in 2013-14 and $1.6 million the following season.

Volpatti, 27, has one assist in 15 games with the Capitals, who claimed him off waivers from Vancouver on Feb. 28.

In 69 career games, Volpatti has registered three goals and two assists.
