Eden Prairie, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle Phil Loadholt has been ruled out for Thursday's contest against the Washington Redskins.

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier announced the move on Tuesday, two days after Loadholt suffered a concussion and departed in the second quarter of a 27-23 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

"It's going to be difficult for him to pass the NFL protocol on a short week," Frazier said. "I don't know very many guys that do."

The 27-year-old Oklahoma product started each of Minnesota's eight games this season.
