Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Steelers released defensive lineman Alameda Ta'amu and added wide receiver David Gilreath to the active roster Monday.

The Steelers selected Ta'amu in the fourth round of this year's draft, but he did not appear in a game this season.

Gilreath went undrafted out of Wisconsin in 2011 and has been on the Steelers' practice squad this whole season.
