Florham Park, NJ (Sports Network) - New York Jets wide receiver Jeremy Kerley has been ruled out of Thursday's game against the New England Patriots.

Kerley missed practice all week after suffering a concussion in Sunday's 18-17 win over the Buccaneers.

He took a blow to the head from Tampa Bay's Mark Barron in the second quarter, though he remained in the game after passing a concussion test and finished with three catches for 45 yards. However, Kerley exhibited symptoms Monday and was diagnosed with a concussion.

The third-year pro led the Jets with 56 catches and 827 receiving yards last season.

To help offset Kerley's absence for Week 2, the Jets re-signed veteran wideout Ben Obomanu on Tuesday.

Defensive end Quinton Coples, who missed last week's game while recovering from ankle surgery performed in August, and quarterback Mark Sanchez, who reportedly has a partial labrum tear in his right shoulder, will also miss Thursday's game.

Wide receiver Santonio Holmes (foot) and tight end Kellen Winslow (knee) were among 18 players listed as probable.
