Eagles LB Phillips tears ACL in right knee

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Eagles have lost another player to a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

After losing wide receiver Jeremy Maclin to a torn ACL in his right knee on Saturday, the Eagles announced Monday that linebacker Jason Phillips will miss the season with the same injury.

Phillips spent the last two seasons with the Carolina Panthers, where he recorded 26 tackles.
