Tampa, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed defensive end Da'Quan Bowers on injured reserve Thursday and signed defensive lineman Scott Solomon.

Bowers started two of the 13 games he appeared in this season, totaling seven tackles and one sack.

Since being selected in the second round (51st overall) by the Bucs back in 2011, Bowers has racked up 45 tackles, 5 1/2 sacks and five passes defensed in 39 games, including eight starts.

Solomon appeared in one game with the New York Jets earlier this season after playing in 13 games for the Tennessee Titans in 2012.
