Saints' Haralson placed on IR

Metairie, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New Orleans Saints placed linebacker Parys Haralson on injured reserve Tuesday.

Haralson tore a pectoral muscle during the second quarter of Saturday's 26-24 playoff win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

In 16 games (eight starts) this season, Haralson registered 3 1/2 sacks and 31 total tackles.

The Saints signed safety Jordan Pugh. He appeared in four games with the Washington Redskins this season, recording two solo tackles and one interception.

New Orleans also waived safety Isa Abdul-Quddus.
