Foxboro, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New England Patriots began preparations for this weekend's AFC Championship Game without their star quarterback, with Tom Brady missing Wednesday's practice because he was sick.

It's not believed that Brady's illness will keep him from participating in Sunday's matchup with Peyton Manning's Denver Broncos that will decide the AFC's representative for Super Bowl XLVIII.

The Patriots also announced that Brady's scheduled media session on Wednesday will be pushed back until Friday.

Only one other New England player, long snapper Danny Aiken, did not take part in Wednesday's session. Aiken is also battling an illness.
