Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Miami Dolphins announced on Tuesday that they have placed wide receiver Brandon Gibson on the season-ending injured reserve list.

Gibson tore his patella tendon in Miami's 27-17 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday. The injury will require surgery.

He joined the Dolphins in the off-season after spending the first four years of his career with the St. Louis Rams. The former Washington State product has played in 61 NFL games over five seasons with 204 receptions for 2,416 yards and 12 touchdowns.
