Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Houston Texans placed linebacker Brian Cushing on injured reserve Monday.

Cushing will miss the rest of the season after suffering a fractured fibula and a torn lateral collateral ligament in his left knee on Oct. 20 at Kansas City.

The Texans also signed five players to the active roster: running backs Ray Graham, Dennis Johnson and Deji Karim and linebackers Tavares Gooden and Jeff Tarpinian.

The running backs provide insurance with Arian Foster and Ben Tate battling hamstring and rib injuries.
