Green Bay, WI (Sports Network) - The Green Bay Packers have signed defensive end Datone Jones and safety Ryan McMahon.

Jones was selected by the Packers with the 26th overall pick in April's draft. As a senior at UCLA in 2012, Jones registered a career-high 62 tackles and a career-best 6 1/2 sacks.

McMahon, a rookie out of Sacramento State, participated in the Packers' rookie orientation camp on a tryout basis in May. He transferred to Sacramento State after beginning his career at Southern California (2008-10).

The 5-foot-11, 210-pound safety started 22 consecutive games over his final two seasons for the Hornets, ending with 183 tackles, 11 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and an interception.
