Irving, TX (Sports Network) - The Dallas Cowboys signed safety Barry Church to a four-year contract extension on Friday.

Despite suffering a season ending Achilles injury in September, the Cowboys decided to retain Church, who would have become a restricted free agent at season's end.

The 24-year-old signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted rookie in 2010 and has appeared in 31 games, recording 54 tackles in three seasons.
