Owings Mills, MD (Sports Network) - The Baltimore Ravens agreed in principle to a four-year contract with safety Matt Elam on Thursday.

The deal, which includes a fifth-year option, is expected to be signed when Elam reports for training camp on July 21.

Terms were not disclosed, but the Baltimore Sun reported it to be worth $6.767 million with a signing bonus of $3.301 million.

Elam was selected 32nd overall by the Ravens in the 2013 NFL Draft. He played in 39 career games for the University of Florida, starting his final 26 contests at strong safety, and recorded 176 tackles with five sacks and six career interceptions.
