Flowery Branch, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Atlanta Falcons activated linebacker Sean Weatherspoon from injured reserve-designated to return on Wednesday.

Weatherspoon suffered a foot sprain during a 31-24 win over the St. Louis Rams on Sept. 15 and was placed on recallable IR two days later. In two games this season, Weatherspoon tallied 13 tackles, including 10 solo.

Weatherspoon was selected by the Falcons in the first round (19th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Missouri.

Atlanta also signed tackle Sean Locklear. The North Carolina State product has yet to play a down this season after spending 12 games with the Giants last season. He has participated in 117 games (92 starts) for Seattle, Washington and New York since 2004.
