Falcons' Biermann, Ewing out for season

Flowery Branch, GA (Sports Network) - Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith announced Monday that defensive end Kroy Biermann and fullback Bradie Ewing will miss the remainder of the season after sustaining injuries in Sunday's win over St. Louis.

Biermann tore his Achilles tendon, while Ewing has a separated shoulder. Both players will be placed on season-ending injured reserved.

Biermann, in his sixth NFL campaign, started both of Atlanta's games this season and recorded seven tackles.

Ewing also started each of the Falcons' first two games and hauled in a pair of passes for 29 yards.
