New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - New Orleans Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday will be sidelined indefinitely after being diagnosed with a stress fracture in his right tibia.

The club made the announcement on Friday. It is not yet clear when or how the injury occurred.

Holiday played 29 minutes in Wednesday's home loss to Washington.

Acquired last summer in a draft-day trade with Philadelphia, Holiday has averaged 14.3 points and a team-best 7.9 assists in 34 games this season.
