Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) - The Sacramento Kings signed center DeMarcus Cousins to a multi-year contract extension on Monday.

As per team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed, but the Sacramento Bee reported the deal is for four years and is worth approximately $64 million.

Cousins, 23, averaged 17.1 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals in 75 games for the Kings last season, his third with the team.

He was the fifth overall pick in the 2010 draft after going one-and-done at Kentucky. In 220 career NBA games, Cousins has averaged 16.3 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals.

The deadline for first-round draft picks from 2010 to agree to contract extensions is Oct. 31.
