Recap: Philadelphia vs. Milwaukee

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Spencer Hawes took an inbounds pass in the left corner, pirouetted to his left and let go of a desperation one-footed fallaway with 1.7 seconds left in regulation.

Hawes' third 3-pointer in the final 1:21 of regulation sent the game into overtime before the 76ers topped the Milwaukee Bucks, 115-107.

"We were very lucky. Spencer got us to where we needed to go, and Evan took us home," said Sixers coach Brett Brown.

Caron Butler, who had 16 of his game-high 38 points in the fourth quarter, nailed a three to give Milwaukee a 98-88 lead with 2:10 left in regulation before the Sixers closed the period on a 14-4 run.

Butler's right-corner trey with 8.4 ticks on the clock gave Milwaukee a 101-97 edge, but Philadelphia's Evan Turner put in a quick layup before the Bucks' Luke Ridnour split a pair from the foul line, which led to Hawes' game-tying three.

"I thought the game was kind of in our control, but we haven't developed a winning brand of basketball yet," said Butler. "With that being said, you tip your hat to Philadelphia."

Hawes had 11 of his 25 points during the Sixers' fourth-quarter surge.

Turner then netted the first four points of the extra session and Philly never looked back. His pull-up jumper from the right elbow with 1:18 left gave the Sixers a 112-105 advantage and the Bucks never threatened again.

Turner netted 23 of his 27 points after halftime, while Michael Carter- Williams filled the stat sheet with 12 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds and five steals for the Sixers, who snapped a four-game losing streak.

Ersan Ilyasova added 19 points, six rebounds and six assists for Milwaukee, which has dropped seven straight tilts.

The Sixers led 28-20 after a quarter of play and Carter-Williams' floater midway through the second staked the hosts a 47-33 advantage.

The Bucks, though, countered with a 14-2 run and Butler nailed a 3-pointer at the horn to pull Milwaukee within 55-53 heading into the break.

Milwaukee took a 75-73 edge after three.
