Recap: Memphis vs. Toronto

Memphis, TN (Sports Network) - Andrea Bargnani scored a game-high 21 points and the Toronto Raptors closed out the preseason with a 120-106 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.

Bargnani shot 6-of-12 from the field, including three from 3-point range, Jonas Valanciunas added 15 points and seven rebounds, while Kyle Lowry finished with 18 points and seven assists for the Raptors, who won six of seven contests in the preseason.

Amir Johnson, Jose Calderon and Terrence Ross all contributed double-digit scoring efforts off the bench for Toronto, which will host the Indiana Pacers on Oct. 31 to begin its regular season play.

Jerryd Bayless scored a team-high 17 points while pulling down seven rebounds and dishing out five assists for Memphis, which dropped its fourth game of the preseason. The Grizzlies will also kick off their season on Oct. 31 when they travel to Los Angeles to play the Clippers.

The Grizzlies got out to the early lead and did not trail throughout the first half. Quincy Pondexter scored 10 of his 16 points during the second quarter to help Memphis build a 66-59 halftime lead.

However, the Raptors took control in the third, outscoring the Grizzlies 32-21. Lowry's nine points in the quarter helped build a 91-87 advantage for Toronto, which closed out the period on a 14-6 run.

Calderon's layup with just over three minutes to play extended the Raptors' lead to double-digits, a difference they maintained for the rest of the game.
