Recap: San Antonio vs. Cleveland

San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Manu Ginobili scored 20 points, while Stephen Jackson added 17 as the San Antonio Spurs won their seventh straight game with a 114-98 decision over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday.

DeJuan Blair had 15 points and seven boards for San Antonio, which has won 18 of its last 20 contests.

The Spurs' magic number to clinch the top seed in the Western Conference is just one as a result of Oklahoma City's loss to the Lakers earlier on Sunday.

"We have a great opportunity to clinch it at home, so we'll make sure to get some rest tonight," Spurs guard Tony Parker said about his team, which will host Portland on Monday. "We have to take advantage of that opportunity."

Antawn Jamison netted 21 points for the Cavaliers, who have lost four of their last five games. Kyrie Irving added 19 points.

The Spurs, who led by double digits for most of the second half, blew the game open midway through the fourth quarter following Jackson's personal 9-0 run.

He started it with a right-wing triple with the shot clock running down and then finished a layup in transition for a three-point play. Jackson then nailed another trey to give San Antonio a commanding 102-82 advantage.

The hosts cruised to victory from there.

"You're playing against a team that has aspirations of winning the championship and is one of the best teams in the league. We competed for 40 minutes and that's all you can ask," Cavaliers head coach Byron Scott said.

Earlier, an 11-0 Spurs run late in the opening frame helped the hosts establish a 29-22 advantage after a quarter of play.

San Antonio led by as many as 16 in the second stanza before the Cavs battled back to make it a 52-44 game heading into the break.

The Spurs took an 81-70 advantage into the final period.

Game Notes

Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich elected to rest Tim Duncan...Parker finished with six points and nine assists...San Antonio shot 54.5 percent from the field.
